Red Bud Mini - Letting Go
Mini paintings on dried, heart shaped, Red Bud leaves. These little paintings are beautiful, delicate, and unique. I personally collect each leaf from the Eastern Red Buds located on my property in the Ozarks of Arkansas then dry them in a silica gel. Each leaf is hand picked for it’s beauty and perfection then meticulously hand painted and sealed by me. I then frame each one in an 8”x8”, black shadow box frame (or larger, if needed).
Some images are re-created or re-imagined from previous paintings and others are completely unique to these little leaves. Each leaf takes between 2-5 hours to complete depending on the subject matter so I’ve priced them based on an average time and my current hourly rate, plus the frame.
