Butterflies Up There
Inspired by a scene in the movie “The Aeronauts”. I loved the scene and was inspired by the view of clouds, dark sky, and butterflies but I wanted more color. I jumped at the chance to paint the scene with one of my sunsets and a rainbow of butterflies. A quote from the movie attributed to Ovid also inspired me, “Surely the sky lies open, let us go that way!”.
This 18x24 inch acrylic painting has been varnished and framed. It’s final measurement is 21.5 by 27.5 inches. It’s wired and ready to hang.
